Nine armed robbery suspects overpowered employees at a filling station in Kutloaning, Odendaalsrus, and bombed an ATM on the premises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On 29 June at about 01:45, the Odendaalsrus police and a private security company responded to an ATM bombing. They respondents found a white Fidelity plastic bag with R500 cash near a fuel pump, which was apparently dropped by the suspects when they were fleeting. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is alleged that the armed men approached the employees. Two of them were armed with handguns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
An assailant struck one of the petrol attendants on the forehead with a firearm. A security officer alleged that two shots were fired in his direction and the window of the vehicle was shattered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe window of a Super T, Toyota Minibus was damaged as it was parked close to the ATM. Cash that amounts to R600 cash dyed with ink and 9 mm cartridges were seized by the SAPS,\u201d says Capt. Stephen Thakeng, media liaison officer for the Lejweleputswa police.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
