On Wednesday, 5 July, members of the police\u2019s Knock-out Team and mine security in Virginia received and acted on information received about a planned house robbery in Harmony, Virginia. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
On the day, the Knock-out Team collaborated with the mine security guards after receiving information about a house targeted for robbery by suspects in Gawie Theron Street, Harmony, Virginia. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the address, two vehicles were seen passing the house. The suspects became aware of the police\u2019s presence and proceeded to shoot in their direction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The police returned fire and one of the suspects sustained a gunshot wound to his leg. Both the police and mine security chased after the suspects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A drone was used to trace the fleeing suspects. In the process a 40-year-old suspect from the North West was arrested with a 9mm firearm in his possession. The weapon\u2019s registration number was filed off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The suspect is facing charges of attempted murder and possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition. The other suspects are still at large.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
