The operation was led by Cols Senobia Solomon and Beulah Seyaya. Brig. Disebo Cezula was the overall commander of this operation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div contenteditable=\"false\" data-embed24=\"Images\" data-pos=\"middle\" id=\"embed_45fca0f6\">\n<div class=\"slide\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" data-smallsrc=\"https:\/\/cdn.24.co.za\/files\/Cms\/General\/d\/9018\/4023a70da1e64f5e9b58c9690fed09d1.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/novanews.co.za\/vistanews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/64f11ee01ef74e9e8405c5aab7bd5f6f.jpg\" title=\"Police officers finding dagga in a taxi in Theunissen.Photo: SAPS\"><p><\/p>\n<div class=\"caption\">Police officers finding dagga in a taxi in Theunissen.Photo: SAPS<\/div>\n<div class=\"img_accreditation\"><span class=\"source\" style=\"display:none;\"><\/span><span class=\"photographer\" style=\"display:none;\"><\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Operation Basadi comprised female police officials of the Welkom Public Order Policing (POP) team, Welkom police members, Welkom police members, Welkom K9 unit, Bronville police, Welkom Flying Squad, and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) personnel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In total, 193 vehicles and 432 persons were searched. One person was arrested for possession of dagga found inside a taxi minibus, and one person for illegal immigration. Two shebeens were closed and one Road Traffic Act summons was issued.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div contenteditable=\"false\" data-embed24=\"Images\" data-pos=\"middle\" id=\"embed_85f47573\">\n<div
