The Free State provincial water storage level has decreased from 97.3% last week to 96.9% this week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During its weekly report, the Department of Water and Sanitation (DWS) indicates that the Bloemfontein water supply system, with four dams supplying water to Mangaung and surrounding areas, is at 97.3% capacity. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Rustfontein Dam, which is part of this system, sits at 93.6%, which is a slight decrease from last week\u2019s 94.4% reading. The Welbedacht Dam, also in the system, recorded 95.1% which is an increase from last week\u2019s 87.5%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Knellpoort Dam is at 99.9%. Sterkfontein Dam, which is a reserve dam, stands at 100.9%, with Bloemhof Dam at 102.9.%. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Allemanskraal Dam stands at 95.9%, while the Erfenis Dam indicates a slight decline at 97.0%, compared to last week\u2019s 97.3 %.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Tierpoort Dam is at 100.9%, and Kalkfontein Dam is at 99.4% this week. Krugersdrift Dam recorded a 100.5% reading. The Metsi-Matsho Dam stands at 81.0%, while the Fika-Patso Dam is at 75.7%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Gariep Dam, the largest dam in the country, has recorded 95.7% while Vanderkloof Dam, the second largest dam, is at 99.8%.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
