On 13 August, members of the Welkom K9 Unit, together with Welkom and the Thabong Task Teams, received a tip-off about a hijacking at gunpoint that occurred in the 2010 Section of Thabong. The complainant was apparently shot at.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The hijacked truck was found and seized and a 31-year-old suspect was arrested and found in possession of one lolie pipe, one bottle neck used for smoking drugs, nyaope, truck keys, a 9 mm firearm with 13 live rounds, the cellphone of the victim, and a truck battery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The suspect is facing charges of hijacking, unlawful possession of firearm and ammunition, and possession of suspected stolen properties.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
