Drug dealers and gang members were removed from the streets of Odendaalsrus during a police sting operation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
On 24 August, the Welkom Public Order Policing Unit followed up on information about suspects selling drugs in K9 section of Kutloanong. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Two female suspects aged 24 and 38 were found in possession of drugs during a search done in separate houses in the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The police found five full Mandrax tablets, three crystal meth sachets and R50 cash hidden in the ceiling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the second house, eight crystal meth sachets and two quarters of Mandrax tablets were seized. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The patrol continued and seven male suspects aged between 23 and 39 years old were found in possession of dangerous weapons. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The suspects informed the police members that they were on their way to the Odendaalsrus Magistrates\u2019 Court and that they are part of the Born to kill (BTK) gang. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The police drove to the Magistrates\u2019 Court premises where three more butcher knives were found abandoned at the Northern side of the court premises.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
