The Ring Contact Fighting Arts (RCFA) Bhubezi Fight Club competed at the second annual Battle of False Bay Championships on 7 October in Somerset West, Cape Town, and returned home after delivering admirable performances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They brought home a total of six medals, and both fighters won their fights in their respective weight class divisions for novices. Gofaone Sebati came second in the intermediate division.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sensei Joe Gladstone Ralejoe, who formed part of the team of officials for the tournament, was a centre referee for the weapon fights and a judge for the fights including the main card bouts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Siyabonga Gina was awarded gold for semi-contact fight (novice), and bronze for the 1st Series. Gofaone Sebati attained gold for contact fight (novice), silver for semi-contact fight (intermediate), gold for weapon fight (baton), and silver for the 1st Series.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe stage was too big, but we managed to keep our composure and that helped us perform at our optimum level and ultimately achieve the desired results. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOur recent feat will definitely boost the moral and confidence of the entire team. We remain humble and just continue to be ready for the next tournament,\u201d says Ralejoe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
