word.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In antwoord op \u2019n vraag van die VF Plus in die Vrystaatse wetgewer, het die LUR vir gemeenskapsveiligheid, paaie en vervoer, Maqueen Mathae, aangedui die voertuie is veronderstel om gebruik te word, maar staan in werkswinkels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Van die 3 616 polisievoertuie in die provinsie, sal daar moontlik van 472 ontslae geraak moet word omdat hulle te oud is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Uit die LUR se antwoord is dit duidelik dat meer as \u2019n duisend voertuie nie werk nie, en die nuwe voertuie is nie genoeg om in die behoefte van die provinsie te voorsien nie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die VF Plus eis dat die LUR moet aandui in hoeveel gevalle die 638 voertuie weens nalatigheid nie gebruik kan word nie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die Vrystaat, waar plaasaanvalle en veediefstal risiko\u2019s vir landelike veiligheid is, kan nie bekostig dat polisievoertuie ongebruik staan terwyl dit veronderstel is om die gemeenskap te beveilig
