The Free State duo 2point1 have dominated the South African Music Awards (Sama) with wins for the Record of the Year and Music Video of the Year categories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The commercial house duo, Prince \u201cPriga\u201d Baloyi and Moeketsi \u201cSheke\u201d Rathebe, from Thabong in Welkom were nominated and won at the reputable awards show. Their chart-topping hit \u201cStimela\u201d, featuring Ntate Stunna and Nthabie Sings, has secured the duo a spot in South African music history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The public\u2019s support for \u201cStimela\u201d is evident. It has not only dominated dance floors but has also taken social media by storm, showing 29 million views on YouTube alone. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The duo have also won the Best Video of the Year award at the Eminent Music Video Awards (EVMA) and the Best Song of the Year award at the Central Music Awards. They are now looking forward to the Lesotho Music Awards after being nominated as the best international feature. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
