A Thabong man (44) was arrested under suspicion of fatally stabbing his 33-year-old girlfriend in Thabong, Welkom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The suspect was arrested in Thabong by members of the Thabong police after receiving information about his whereabouts in the area on 30 January.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the scene, a woman was lying in a pool of blood, believed to have been stabbed four times. She was pronounced dead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The victim\u2019s grandmother, Elizabeth Binza, identified the deceased as her granddaughter, Makopano Jeanette Molelekoa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The suspect was taken into custody and a knife, believed to be the murder weapon, was seized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The motive for the fatal stabbing is still unknown, and the investigation continues<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The suspect appeared before the Welkom Magistrates\u2019 Court on 1 February. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
