Concerned resident, Welkom:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a contractor who has been done in by the system, I am very concerned that local contractors have not been considered in recent tenders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We demand that the Special Investigation Unit (SIU) look into contracts in the Free State. The recent contracts concerning asbestos and sewage were never advertised. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pres. Cyril Ramaphosa said outside contractors may only be appointed to a contract in a province or area if no local contractors were available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am a local, born and bred. I have built and completed multi-million RDP housing projects, perfectly constructed and with no complaints. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Myself and many other local contractors are being overlooked and not given an opportunity. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We demand that a commission of enquiry be established to investigate why a contractor from Limpopo has been employed to do the Free State contract.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
