The badly injured body of a man who had fallen victim to a hit-and-run on the Bultfontein\/Bloemfontein road was found about 3 km from Bultfontein.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On 30 March at about 21:15, members of Bultfontein Visible Poicing were summoned to an accident scene where they discovered the body of a an African male, lying on his back. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
His knee and left foot were broken, and he had sustained a wound to the back of the head. There were multiple injuries to his body.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The deceased was wearing black jean trousers, a yellow vest and white secret socks. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The police also found brown Crocket & Jones shoes a few meters from his head. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
There was also a crushed black Nokia cellphone in the vicinity. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
He was certified dead at the scene, says Capt. Stephen Thakeng, media liaison officer for the Lejweleputswa police.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
No documents were found in his possession and his identity remains unknown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe man is dark in complexion, chubby, he has a moustache, chiskop and could be 40 to 45 years old. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
It seems that it was a hit-and-run case and the motorist is still wanted. The body is being kept at Welkom State mortuary for next of kin to identify,\u201d says Thakeng.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A case of culpable homicide has been registered. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
