Ofentse Leeuw (23) en Andiswa Ntswabe (23) is Maandag 6 Mei tot drie jaar gevangenisstraf gevonnis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hulle het in die Welkom-streekhof verskyn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die vonnisoplegging spruit voort uit \u2019n voorval, wat op 21 Julie 2023 plaasgevind het. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Leeuw en Ntswabe het met verskeie vervalste dokumente by die departement van arbeid se kantore in Welkom opgedaag en gepoog om geld in \u2019n bankrekening te laat inbetaal. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die beskuldigde het dokumente voorgel\u00ea en gepoog om R50 000 van die Werkloosheidsversekeringsfonds (WVF) te eis. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die beskuldigde moes as deel van die proses \u2019n onderhoud ondergaan wat deur \u2019n amptenaar gevoer is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tydens die onderhoud kon die beskuldigde nie sekere vrae beantwoord nie. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dit het ook aan die lig gekom dat een van die aansoekers nooit in diens van \u2019n sekere maatskappy was nie, soos aangedui op die eisvorm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die amptenaar het die saak by die Valke se ernstige korrupsie-ondersoekspan in Welkom aangemeld. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die polisie het gereageer en dieselfde dag die verdagtes in hegtenis geneem. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die beskuldigdes het by verskeie geleenthede in die hof verskyn, wat op 19 April tot hul skuldigbevinding gelei het.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die beskuldigdes se vonnisse is in geheel vir vier jaar opgeskort op voorwaarde dat hulle nie aan dieselfde oortreding skuldig bevind word gedurende die tydperk van skorsing nie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hulle is ook vir twee jaar onder korrektiewe toesig geplaas. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Albei die beskuldigdes is onbevoeg verklaar om \u2019n vuurwapen te besit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die beskuldigde het dokumente voorgel\u00ea <\/p>\n\n\n\n

en gepoog om <\/p>\n\n\n\n
