The third annual Welkom Classic Car Club Motor Extravaganza was a major success, attracting motor enthusiasts and exhibitors from as far as Heilbron and Pretoria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vista<\/em> is the official media sponsor, and together with Capital Sounds and the Ho\u00ebrskool Riebeeckstad, ensured the success of this event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Petrol heads from as far afield as Lindley, Bethlehem, Heilbron, Pretoria and, Bloemfontein brought their precious vehicles and motorbikes to be displayed at the motor show. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The cars included some recent model Mustangs all the way from Gauteng, Porsches, Rat Rods, a replica of the classic Herbie VW Beetle, a 1960 \u201cHippie\u201d Beetle, old classics like the Morris, a 1960 Ford Mustang, 1970 Mazda, 1970 Ford Cortina, varying models of the ever-elegant Mercedes, two different Chevrolet Ferenza models, a VW Combi Camper, and a Ford Fairlane.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gaylin MacNicol had his 1940\u2019s Ford Flat Head V8, 1970\u2019s Chevrolet 4.1 6 cylinder, and 1970\u2019s 1200 Datsun combo, all mounted on a trailer display.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, there were different flea market stalls, and food markets on the perimeter, which created a carnival effect for visitors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe Welkom Classic Car Club would like to thank every person for making the day a huge success. Everything was perfect; we had plenty of cars and great weather,\u201d says Liesl Evans, organiser of the show.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
