Their sounds afe rooted in the sounds of legendary artists such as Ladysmith Black Mambazo, The Soil, Bayete, Miriam Makeba, and Tshepo Tshola.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe usually listen to more rooted sounds,\u201d they noted, reflecting on the diverse musical heritage that shapes their creative process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They say their biggest influences have always been Ladysmith Black Mambazo and The Soil, as well as Tswana Traditional Dance music, Zulu, and Sesotho traditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They were part of these groups growing up, and fans will find them incorporating traditional dances in their performances and even in their music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mohlakeng Acapellas were the winners of the Ladysmith Black Mambazo Mobile Academy in 2019. They are a dynamic group consisting of six members: Morapeli Motaung, Montshiwa Mokoena, Lucky Puso, Ithabeleng Putsoane, Teboho Macheli, and Mpho Radebe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
