Die hofsaak oor die beweerde aanranding van \u2018n 81-jarige slagoffer by \u2018n ouetehuis in Welkom is tot Maart uitgestel om die prokureur wat beskuldigde drie en vier nou ook verteenwoordig, homself met die inhoud van die dossier kan bekend maak.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die saak sal op Maandag\u00a02 Maart in die Welkom-streekhof voorkom. Dit verhoordatum behoort dan vasgestel te word. Die verwagting was dat die verhoordatum op 30 Janaurie bekend gemaak sou word, maar die prokureurs het gebaseer op die verwisseling van beskuldigdes tussen prokureurs gevra vir uitstel. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die aanklagte teen Lynette Brummer (64), Anna Fourie (73), Nomsa Ngcongwane (56), Prudence Majorobella (35), Mofolo Ntswaki (30) en Puseleletso Mola (33) sluit in poging tot moord, aanranding met die opset om ernstige liggaamlike leed te veroorsaak, en ontvoering van \u2018n 81-jarige vrou by \u2018n verswakte-sorg-tehuis in Welkom. Hulle word ook aangekla op die Wet op ouer persone 13 van 2006 vir fisieke en geestelike mishandeling van \u2018n bejaarde.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Streeklanddros Ludidi het weer bevestig dat die beskuldigdes op borg vrygelaat is, en dat hulle by die streng borgvoorwaardes moet hou. In Desember het die streeklandros aan die\u00a0beskuldigdes bevestig dat hierdie klag baie ernstig is en in die streekhof ‘n straf van nie minder as 15 jaar gevangenisstraf elk dra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mariana Payne, dogter van die slagoffer, Bettie Payne, was weer Vrydag in die hof. Sy glo dat die wiele van geregtigheid sal geskied word wanneer die hofsaak begin. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Volgens getuienis wat tydens die hofsitting op 6 Augustus gehoor is, het Brummer na bewering die slagoffer aangeval. Daar was ook melding van \u2018n stemboodskap waarin Brummer na bewering aan die dogter van die slagoffer erken dat sy haar ma geslaan het.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die saak is deur die slagoffer se dogter, wat die saak geopen het, by die polisie aangemeld.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die Welkom-landdroshof het aan Brummer R5 000 borgtog toegestaan, terwyl die ander beskuldigdes elk borg van R1 000 ontvang het.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die streeklandros het bevestig dat die streng borgvoorwaardes steeds van krag bly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vista het begin verslag doen toe die dade aan die lig gekom het n\u00e1 die ontdekking van videokamera-opnames wat in die slagoffer se kamer by die ouetehuis geneem is. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Personeel was bewus van die kamera se teenwoordigheid. Die videomateriaal en foto’s beeld uiterste verbale, geestelike en fisiese mishandeling uit waaraan die bejaarde vrou onderwerp is. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die bejaarde vrou is fisies onderdruk en met kleefband vasgebind, met haar mond en hande vasgebind om beweging te voorkom. Die emosionele tonele in die video word vererger deur foto’s wat uiters gekneusde hande, bloeiende lippe van die kleefband, en kneusplekke, skrape en skraapmerke aan die gesig wys.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
