One night, the island was battered by howling gale-force winds. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>They were ferocious, raging all night long. When I woke up in the morning, the winds had dropped, leaving an eerie stillness.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>They were ferocious, raging all night long. When I woke up in the morning, the winds had dropped, leaving an eerie stillness. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This experience reminded me of how Jesus rebuked the winds and the waves ushering complete calmness in Matthew 8:26. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I thought about the storms that hit our lives. Believe and trust in God&#8217;s sovereignty and goodness. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jesus&#8217; inner circle consisted of his disciples, following suit \u2212 surround yourself with supportive believers. Finally, surrender your will to God&#8217;s, obeying his commands and living according to his word.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Above all else, let me assure you that when you seek him with all your heart, you find him. He is close to the broken-hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
