A Welkom drug dealer has been sentenced to six years’ imprisonment by the Welkom courts, while his partner in crime received a R8 000 fine.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The two were sentenced on 13 July.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Rammatli Joseph Ntaidate (35) and Nhlanhla Lucky Ndawo (27) were found guilty of dealing in drugs. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ndawo was sentenced to a six-year prison sentence, whilst Ntaidate was fined R8 000 and slapped with a five-year suspended sentence.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In 2020, the Welkom-based Serious Organised Crime Investigation detectives became aware of criminal activities at a certain house in Welkom. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They sought the assistance of members of the Crime Intelligence and Flying Squad.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On 20 October 2020, the team kept up with their observations and noticed a suspicious vehicle leaving the premises. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n “The acting Free State head of the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation (Hawks), Brig.
