Excitement is building in preparation for the next Motor Mech show which is once again being held by the Motor Industry Workshop Association (MIWA), a proud association of the Retail Motor Industry Organisation (RMI), in conjunction this year with Concept Crew Car Club at the Daniel Pienaar Technical High School in Kariega on Saturday, 30 August.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is the fourth consecutive Alles op Wiele that is presented by Concept Crew Car Club and the second year that the team has partnered with RMI and MIWA to add the Motor Mech component. The event promises to be a real showstopper!\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Peter van Mosseveld, RMI Regional Manager in the Eastern Cape, says Motor Mech is the ideal showcase for the automotive industry to attract upcoming and aspiring mechanics. “We want to raise awareness and excitement about the motor industry. We want junior school children to know there is a career in motor mechanics and to know which schools are available for this career. For those in high school, we would like to educate them on what the industry is all about and the options in terms of technical high schools, colleges, and workshops that are available. We are excited to share our passion for the industry! From training to quality parts, to graded workshops \u2013 all working together to improve skills levels and customer experiences,” says Van Mosseveld.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He says Daniel Pienaar Technical High School is a perfect partner because they’re not only the oldest technical high school in South Africa, but also the only school that offers Motor Sport as a school sport. “They’re super passionate about technical education and supporting young talent, just as we are!”\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Motor Mech school competition will start at 09:00 on the day and will showcase the brightest young talent in the sector.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The addition of the Concept Crew cars again this year will, once again, add enormous interest. The Concept Crew Car Club, which will be displaying approximately 445 Classic Cars, promises to be a real showstopper. The day will also be jam-packed with other displays and plenty of competitions. Commenting on the show Pierre Janse van Rensburg from Concept Cars says, “Most of the Concept Crew Club members are old boys of Daniel Pienaar and it is a privilege to be part of the school again. Next year the club will be 15 years old and as a club we are really striving hard to include the community, school and businesses in the area. In the past everyone tried to promote their own entity and this show has managed to consolidate everything into one spectacular showcase.” \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kola du Toit, Principal of Daniel Pienaar Technical High School, says the school is delighted to be hosting the Motor Mech show with MIWA as an industry partner once again. “To tackle the skills shortage, we need to align what’s taught in schools, colleges, and universities more closely with real-world industry needs. AI, automation, and electronics must be integrated into the curriculum so that young talent is better equipped to work on and with hybrid cars. Closer alignment between education and industry would mean better skills transfer, more donations of equipment, and smoother transitions from school to learnerships or apprenticeships. It would be a win-win for everyone,” she said. “Daniel Pienaar Technical High School is exceptionally proud and excited to be hosting this momentous occasion during its celebration of its 130th year of existence!”\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Showtimes are from 09:00 \u2013 14:00 and theentrance fee is R50 per adult and R30 per scholar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
