The quick response to a complaint of a shooting led to the arrest of two 18-year-old male suspects in Humansdorp on May 2 and the recovery of a firearm that was reported stolen in Rawsonville, Cape Town in 2014.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to police spokesperson Captain Marius McCarthy, on May 2 at about 10:45 Humansdorp SAPS received a complaint about a shooting incident at Maak ‘n Las, Humansdorp.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said that members responded immediately and, on their way, they came across two suspects fleeing the scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“A chase ensued on foot into an open yard where members managed to apprehend two suspects and confiscated a firearm found in their possession,” said McCarthy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said that the suspects will appear before the Humansdorp Magistrate’s Court on May 5 on charges of discharging a firearm in a municipal area and unlawful possession of a firearm.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
