WITH 4 wins in 4 months and a new course record, this year\u2019s Town Lodge Business Night Relay was certainly another memorable one for the boys from the Gamble Pharmacy Corporate team. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Untouchable this season and rewriting the record books with their 55 minutes and 23 seconds blitzing of the course record at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium last season, the team came out as confident as ever and walked away with the gold medals once again in a time of 57 minutes 20 seconds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDespite the blustery and cold conditions on the evening, it was a great end to the season with 69 teams taking part this month, \u201c said Series organiser Mike Zoetmulder from Zsports Events NPC. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt\u2019s been well supported with teams loving the uniqueness of running within the iconic stadium in a safe and secure environment and one wonders whether we should be considering running the series throughout summer as well.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Another exceptional performance on the evening was the breaking of the Ladies\u2019 course record with Team Investec flying through in 1 hour 15 minutes to set the new benchmark. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Town Lodge Business Night Relay is a unique event to Nelson Mandela Bay taking place on the last Tuesday evening during winter with teams of 5 runners or 3 walkers each completing a 3.5km lap within the stadium precinct.
