The milestone surpassed the previous record of 93 012 visitors achieved in 2016.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The R30-million facility is one of its kind in the South African automotive industry and Volkswagen Group production network. PeoplePavilion is a sports, recreational, rehabilitation and community facility operating for the benefit of all Volkswagen Group South Africa employees and their families. The PeoplePavilion aims to create a sense of belonging and engagement for Volkswagen\u2019s employees in Uitenhage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>PeoplePavilion boasts of a fully equipped gym with a qualified trainers and a full time bio kinetics practitioner, a multi-purpose hall that is able to service different indoor sporting codes and can host functions of up to 500 people, outdoor field for rugby, soccer, cricket and baseball. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOur PeoplePavilion is multi-purpose facility where our employees and their loved-ones can work out to maintain good health and also socialise by participating in different sporting codes on offer,\u201d said Thomas Schaefer, Chairman and Managing Director of Volkswagen Group South Africa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI am proud that many of our
