A total of 25 of these \u201ctimeless cars\u201d will be seen on roads in and around Nelson Mandela Bay this weekend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Members of the Mercedes Benz Club South Africa will take their legendary cars on a W108\/9 Run to various tourist attractions in the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The road trip action starts tomorrow at 08:45 with their departure from Grass Roof, heading towards Uitenhage to visit the VWSA AutoPavilion as well as the factory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Other highlights of the weekend will be their visit to Addo Elephant National Park on Saturday. The convoy will leave PE at 07:00, heading towards the Matyholweni gate near Colchester.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For lunch they will head towards the iconic Phoenix Hotel to be there at 13:15. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A gala evening, themed 60s &amp;70s, will be held at Maritime Motors. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The initial model lineup consisted of three W108s: 250S, 250SE, and 300SE, as well as a sole W109, the 300SEL. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>For more information about the Mercedez Benz Club SA W108\/9 Run contact Carl 082 493 2577 or Niki 082 871 2527. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>THE Mercedes Benz W108 was premi\u00e8red at the Frankfurt Auto Show in 1965 and was produced through to 1972.
