Photo: MARISKA SPOORMAKER<\/div>\n<div class=\"img_accreditation\"><span class=\"source\" style=\"display:none;\"><\/span><span class=\"photographer\" style=\"display:none;\"><\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>FRIENDS of Van Stadens will host its annual open day, which also doubles as a family fun day, at the Van Stadens Wildflower Reserve on October 12.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Friends of Van Stadens, a non profit organisation, consists of a small group of volunteers that hold a fund-raiser once a year. Proceeds of the day are towards the maintenance of the reserve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year\u2019s programme will start with a 9km fun trail run at 08:00, followed by a 4km fun trail run\/walk at 08:15, and mountain bike events starting at 10:00.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Entry to the 9km event is R50, while the 4km and mountain events are R30 each. Enter on the day. There will also be an indigenous plant sale from 09:00 to 13:00 taking place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Various stalls will offer refreshments and goodies. Patrons are invited to bring along a picnic basket and enjoy the day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>For more information, contact 083 667 7322 or visit
