He passed away tragically on 28 January 2012 while competing in a V8 American Saloon race.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Victory Raceway would like to honour his legacy in hosting a memorial race in remembrance of a motor sport legend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Apart from the V8 American Saloons racing, other classes competing include Junior Hot Rods, Pinkrods, 1660s, 2.1 Modifieds and Heavy Metals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The gates open at 14:00 and racing starts at 18:00. Victory Raceway is in Victoria Drive, Walmer. There are braai facilities as well as foodstalls available at the raceway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li> For more information contact Maggie 082 656
