{"id":50871,"date":"2020-02-13T06:03:18","date_gmt":"2020-02-13T04:03:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/novanews.co.za\/udexpress\/charity-golf-day-key-to-aurora-programme-20200212-2\/"},"modified":"2025-03-21T00:40:17","modified_gmt":"2025-03-20T22:40:17","slug":"charity-golf-day-key-to-aurora-programme-20200212-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/novanews.co.za\/udexpress\/charity-golf-day-key-to-aurora-programme-20200212-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Charity golf day key to Aurora programme"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>THE Aurora Special Care Centre is looking forward to hosting another successful Charity Golf Day, which will take place at Humewood in Port Elizabeth on March 5.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This annual event forms an integral part of the centre\u2019s fund-raising programme, with more than 100 children and adults dependent on the support received from corporates and members of the public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aurora fundraiser Nicole Davidge said, \u201cAurora Special Care Centre is a non-profit organisation [NPO] that looks after 140 children and adults with severe mental and physical disabilities,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cFor us to continue to allow these children and adults to live the best possible life their disability allows, we rely hugely on fund-raising initiatives such as our Golf Day. The success of such an event is dependent on the involvement of both players and sponsors, and we would love to have you with us for the day.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She said there was a range of options in which golfers and businesses could become involved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The tee-off times are available from 10:00 to 11:52.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe appeal to your generosity and support in the form of any donations, prizes, vouchers or gifts,\u201d said Davidge. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cPlease be assured all funds raised will go towards a child or adult in great need.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul
