Algoa FM is calling for non-profit cancer organisations to apply to be the 2021 Big Walk for Cancer beneficiary. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Algoa FM walk for Cancer will take place on Saturday the 30th of October 2021. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The success of the first Virtual Algoa FM Big Walk for Cancer in 2020, has compelled the station to host a hybrid event including a both virtual and physical walk, should Covid-19 regulations permit. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Algoa FM Big Walk for Cancer is the biggest mass participation event in the Eastern Cape, and brings together everyone who has been affected by cancer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWith the event having gone virtual in 2020 we received a global reach and people as far as the UK were able to celebrate every step with us,\u201d says Algoa FM marketing manager Lesley Geyer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe reached our funding target, which meant that we could purchase the equipment required by the 2020 beneficiary, the Igazi Foundation,\u201d she adds. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
All non-governmental organisations which support cancer sufferers and their families in the Eastern Cape and Garden Route are eligible to enter. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The closing date for entries is Monday, the 19th of April 2021. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
