{"id":48158,"date":"2021-10-06T12:53:56","date_gmt":"2021-10-06T10:53:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/novanews.co.za\/udexpress\/enter-now-for-christmas-baby-20211005\/"},"modified":"2025-03-21T10:24:08","modified_gmt":"2025-03-21T08:24:08","slug":"enter-now-for-christmas-baby-20211005","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/novanews.co.za\/udexpress\/enter-now-for-christmas-baby-20211005\/","title":{"rendered":"Enter now for Christmas Baby competition"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"p\" id=\"U402237033003z9G\">\n<p>The <em>UD<\/em><em>&nbsp;Express<\/em>&nbsp;is happy to announce that entries for our annual Christmas Baby competition are now open!<\/p>\n<p>As with every year, we are looking for a baby to grace the front page of the last edition of the year \u2013 which will be published on Thursday, December 16.<\/p>\n<p>The competition is for babies living in the <em>UD Express<\/em> distribution area who are celebrating their first Christmas; therefore babies who are entered need to be born after December 25, 2020.<\/p>\n<p>To enter, parents need to complete the form below.<\/p>\n<p>Qualifying entries will be uploaded in our Christmas Baby 2021 album on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/ExpressUD\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>UD Express Facebook page<\/strong><\/a>. Please allow at least one to two working days for entries to be reviewed and uploaded online.<\/p>\n<p>If your photo does not appear in the album, it means it did not qualify.<\/p>\n<div class=\"p\" id=\"U402237033003gaD\">\n<div class=\"p\" id=\"U402237033003XdG\">\n<div class=\"p\" id=\"U402237033003tyF\">\n<p>The competition is not a voting competition \u2013 the number of likes\/reactions will not affect the outcome of the finalists. A panel of judges will choose the winner of the competition.<\/p>\n<div class=\"p\" id=\"U402237033003AuD\">\n<div class=\"p\" id=\"U4022370330035nE\">\n<p>The closing date for entries is 16:00 on Monday, November 29. No late entries will be accepted.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>For queries regarding the competition e-mail tanya.vanzyl@media24.com.\n<p><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Rules<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Only babies who are celebrating their FIRST Christmas may enter.<\/li>\n<li>Only babies who reside in Kariega, Despatch, Kirkwood and Addo may enter.<\/li>\n<li>Only entries received via the Christmas Baby form will be accepted.<\/li>\n<li>No photos that are posted on our Facebook timeline or inbox will be entered.<\/li>\n<li>You may only enter once for the duration of the competition and only one photo per entrant will be allowed \u2013 choose your photo submission carefully.<\/li>\n<li>Once a photo has been submitted, it cannot be swopped with another photo.<\/li>\n<li>Photos do&nbsp;NOT&nbsp;need to have a Christmas theme.<\/li>\n<li>Photos must be high resolution (minimum of 1MB).<\/li>\n<li>Entries open October 7, and the competition ends on Monday, November 29 at 16:00.<\/li>\n<li>The winner will be re-photographed by Pro Design Photographers and these photos will be used on the front page.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h1><strong><span style=\"text-decoration:underline;\"><a
