Gerda Swart, said that the incident occurred at approximately 08:25 this morning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although the covered body appeared to resemble that of a young child, police have confirmed that the deceased is a 47-year-old man.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt is alleged that [he] was pushing a wheelbarrow across the road when the accident occurred. [He] passed away on the scene,\u201d Swart said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At approximately 10:00 this morning, the body was still lying at the scene right next to the truck that came to a halt in a horizontal position across the two lanes. Police were also still at the scene at that time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Police are investigating a case of culpable homicide and the name of the victim will be released once his next-of-kin has been informed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Investigations are continuing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-source-saps-media-statement\">Source: SAPS media statement<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<div
