Volkswagen Group South Africa (VWSA) employee Zintle Mvana (26) from Kariega has been named one of the Best Apprentices in the Volkswagen Group \u2013 an honour bestowed each year to only a handful of the company\u2019s top young talents across the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Best Apprentice award is given each year in recognition of the outstanding performance from young employees within the Group. In 2021, this group consisted of a total of 50 apprentices from 19 countries. Owing to the COVID-19 pandemic, these awards \u2013 normally presented during a ceremony in Wolfsburg, Germany \u2013 were handed out individually in the apprentices\u2019 home countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Zintle, has been with the company since February 2020, when she started as a graduate trainee while studying towards an Honours degree in Industrial and Organisational Psychology. She is currently employed as a Training and Development Practitioner in VWSA\u2019s Learning Academy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThis award means the world to me; it means that my efforts have been recognised,\u201d said Zintle. \u201cI always strive to perform at my highest level in whatever I do, so that is how I learn best \u2013 by giving it my all. This award means that my contribution to my department and to VWSA is valued.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
