The start gun for the 10km race will be at 07:00 and the 5km race at 07:15. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Being the 14th anniversary of this sought-after event, organised by the Port Elizabeth Amateur Athletic Club and Sunridge Village Shopping Centre, it once again promises to be a great event. Since inception this event has grown to become one of the most successful and popular events on the athletics calendar for both professional and amateur\/family participants. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt is so encouraging to see the hundreds of students and families participating at these events\u201d, said Les Barnes, president of PEAAC. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This will once again be a fun filled family affair with fantastic hampers as lucky draws and some major prizes. These include a R2 500 shopping experience from Sunridge SuperSpar, a major sponsor to the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe school with the most bulk entries will earn themselves a R1 000 prize, so we encourage all schools to participate and support the event. There is also a special prize for the business\/company with the most bulk entries,\u201d says Suzanne Fincham, Centre Manager at Sunridge Village Shopping Centre. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Other fun category prizes include first Family Home, Parent and Pram, Dad and Dog and Mom and Tot. However, there is a restriction of 1 dog per entry. Entrants wanting to qualify for these special prizes must indicate this at registration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The first 1 000 on-line pre-entries will receive an event T-shirt. On-line pre-entries can be done via the website, www.sunridgevillage.co.za (scroll down to \u201cEvents\u201d) up to 17:00 on Thursday, 5 May.
