POWERX, the first private company in South Africa ever to be issued with a trading license by NERSA, have put their money where their mouth is in the Bay area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The company made donations of almost R1 million into different sectors of Gqeberha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

POWERX, in alignment with Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality\u2019s Green Vision, started trade in 2016 and have since assisted the Municipality in achieving successful trade of Green Power while facilitating local economic development. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

POWERX is an aggregator of clean energy and sources power from different green technologies from all over South Africa and imports it into Gqeberha. POWERX also sources power from internal generators which includes a large wind power producer, as well as over 40 Micro Scale PV Solar Facilities and counting. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

These facilities contributed to over R150 million capital investments into the local Municipality. This also ensured other future revenues, cost savings, as well as permanent jobs being created in the Bay area.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

POWERX will be facilitating the expansion of generation facilities within the borders of the municipality by another 25MW, which will increase the Capital Investment to a staggering R650 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

POWERX has assisted the full spectrum from small, to large scale customers with much needed discounts and rebates to weather these tough economic times that businesses find themselves in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the last 12 months POWERX has provided over R4 million in trade discounts and rebates and projects to grow this to R6 million in the next 12 months. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over and above these benefits POWERX has provided much needed Renewable Energy Certificates to those customers in Gqeberha that have a mandate to Go-Green. This in turn meant that certain large-scale customers could be retained in the Nelson Mandela Bay area, instead of being forced to relocate their business premises to a different municipal area. The risk of large-scale consequential job losses has been prevented by them meeting these critical targets.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

POWERX has more than 120 postpaid customers of which nine are international customers and 28 are national customers.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A donation was made to a learning institution for disabled learners to the value of R311 050. Here are Thembani Bukula \u2013 CEO POWERX (right) with some of the students at the learning facility. In addition, the learners received a stipend of R2 500 per month to the value of R207 500 up to April 2022. In most cases the stipends will be the only income that these families have.<\/div>\n

BDSV Holdings (Guest Resources Services) <\/span><\/a>are accredited with Wholesale & Retail Seta, Mict, Agri Seta, and Services Seta, and Merseta, for 17 Full Qualifications, and several skills programmes, that range from Abet through to NQF 5. They specialise in integrating their services to align with the client\u2019s needs, and often assist in coming up with innovative solutions to problems that they are facing.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

NESA Capital is one of POWERX\u2019s Green Suppliers, with a present total of 26 PV Solar generation facilities and counting.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWith many students reliant on financial aid and bursaries to cover the cost of higher education, such donations are welcome as they help Nelson Mandela University in its efforts towards student access for success.\u201d \u2013 NMU<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

A donation of R30 000 was also made to Place of Mercy and Hope Children\u2019s Home.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Place of Mercy and Hope is a Public Benefit Organization located in the Sundays River Valley. <\/span>The Organisation assists families who are from incredibly disadvantaged communities, with a specific focus on children. Their programmes are dedicated to education, nutrition and basic health care, helping thousands of children.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n
