{"id":46482,"date":"2022-10-13T08:37:21","date_gmt":"2022-10-13T06:37:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/novanews.co.za\/udexpress\/we-are-looking-for-christmas-baby-2022-20221012\/"},"modified":"2025-03-21T12:53:39","modified_gmt":"2025-03-21T10:53:39","slug":"we-are-looking-for-christmas-baby-2022-20221012","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/novanews.co.za\/udexpress\/we-are-looking-for-christmas-baby-2022-20221012\/","title":{"rendered":"Enter now for Christmas Baby 2022"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The&nbsp;<em>UD Express<\/em> is happy to announce that entries for our annual Christmas Baby competition are now open!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As with every year, we are looking for a baby to grace the front page of the last edition of the year \u2013 which will be published on Thursday, December 15.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The competition is for babies from Addo, Despatch, Kariega and Kirkwood who are celebrating their first Christmas; therefore babies who are entered need to be born after December 25, 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-to-enter-parents-need-to-complete-the-entry-form-by-clicking-on-this-link\"><a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/rYDoSDYb5ugKiMVd9\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>To enter, parents need to complete the entry form by clicking on this link.<\/strong><\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Qualifying entries will be uploaded in our Christmas Baby 2021 album on the <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/ExpressUD\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>UD Express<\/strong><\/a><\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/ExpressUD\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Facebook page<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please allow at least one to two working days for entries to be reviewed and uploaded online. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If your photo does not appear in the album, it means it did not qualify.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The competition is not a voting competition \u2013 the number of likes\/reactions will not affect the outcome of the finalists.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A panel of judges will choose the winner of the competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The closing date for entries is 16:00 on Monday, November 28. No late entries will be accepted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-how-to-enter\"><strong>How to enter:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Go to our website and look for \u201cEnter now for Christmas Baby 2022\u201d.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A link to the competition will also be available on our Facebook page.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Complete the form and upload your photo, which should be at least 1MB in size and in jpg format.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For queries regarding the competition, e-mail tanya.vanzyl@media24.com.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div contenteditable=\"false\" data-embed24=\"InfoBlock\" data-pos=\"middle\" id=\"embed_634e7807\">\n<div class=\"heading\">Here are some tips when taking your photo:<\/div>\n<div class=\"text\">\n<ul>\n<li>Baby\u2019s face needs to be clearly visible. Avoid photos of baby with a pacifier in his\/her mouth.<\/li>\n<li>Avoid using social media filters on your baby\u2019s photo.<\/li>\n<li>Baby needs to be fully clothed.<\/li>\n<li>Baby needs to be alone in the photo (except in the case of twins or triplets)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-here-are-the-rules-when-entering-your-child-for-our-competition\"><strong>Here are the rules when entering your child for our competition:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Only babies who are celebrating their FIRST Christmas may enter.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Only babies who reside in Addo, Despatch, Kariega and Kirkwood may enter.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Only entries received via the Christmas Baby form will be accepted.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No photos that are posted on our Facebook timeline or inbox will be entered.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You may only enter once for the duration of the competition and only one photo per entrant will be allowed \u2013 choose your photo submission carefully.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Once a photo has been submitted, it cannot be swopped with another photo.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When entering a baby on the parent\u2019s behalf, be sure to have their consent to upload the photo\/enter the competition.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Photos do\u00a0<strong>NOT<\/strong>\u00a0need to have a Christmas theme.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Entries close on Monday, November 28, at 16:00.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The winner will be re-photographed by Pro Design Photographers and these photos will be used on the front page.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>For queries send an e-mail to
