\u2018n Projek met die versoek om 1 000 teddiebere teen Junie 2023 in te samel om in die Karoo te versprei, het breipenne regoor die land laat klap, ook op Kariega waar daar die afgelope naweek \u2018n teddiebeerpartytjie gehou is. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Margie du Toit van Kariega s\u00ea sy het di\u00e9 drukkiebeer-projek op sosiale media gesien en die versoek op haar Faceboek gedeel, waarna die reaksie baie positief was.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEk\u2019t ges\u00ea \u2018come on girls let\u2019s do it\u2019. En toe begin die mense brei. Ons het die naweek 243 teddies gekry. Daar kom nog en ons behoort so 300 teddies in te samel,\u201d s\u00ea Margie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOns gaan die helfte aan die projek wat vanuit Durbanville organiseer word gee en die ander helfte vir die polisie op Despatch. Hulle gee di\u00e9 drukkiebere aan kinders wat trauma ervaar weens gewelddadige en\/of seksuele mishandeling.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Plaaslike breiers is s\u00f3 ge\u00efnspireer dat hul tot van die teddiebere verpersoonlik het met \u2018n Erns Grundling-beer, wat tydens die teddiepartytjie aan di\u00e9 avonturier, reisiger en skrywer se ma, Winnie, oorhandig is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
