A total of 150 employees from Lumotech in Kariega and their friends will participate in this challenge. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is part of the 24th edition of the Algoa Big Walk for Cancer hosted in conjunction with the Eastern Cape Department of Health. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Maureen Pullen, a Lumotech employee and organiser of the local event said they are over the moon as the company has agreed again to fund employees to participate in the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are excited and invite the public to join us, dressed in pink, in solidarity with cancer survivors and their loved ones,\u201d said Maureen. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The virtual Algoa FM Big Walk for Cancer\u2019s support event in Kariega will start and finish at the Uitenhage Cricket Club (opposite the Uitenhage Indoor Sports Centre). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Participants need to be there at 07:00 for the start at 08:00. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A 5km route will be followed through the neighbourhood with the support of local traffic authorities. Lucky draws will be held at the finish point.
