After almost a week, police in Kariega are still seeking the family of a man that was found dead in Rocklands on Wednesday, April 19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to police spokesperson, Capt. Sandra Janse van Rensburg, police rushed to the scene on a gravel road in Rocklands at approximately 17:30 and found an unidentified man lying on the road.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The victim was found by a community member from a nearby farm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHe was clad in black pants and a pink shirt. He had a gunshot wound behind his neck,\u201d Janse van Rensburg said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe circumstances surrounding the murder and the motive are unknown and will form part of the investigation,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In an unrelated incident, police are also seeking the family of a man that was found dead in a derelict building close to the railway lines on the corner of Niven Road and Algoa Road on March 30.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The man, whose body had already been in a state of decomposition, was wearing a black tracksuit pants with two white stripes on both sides and a faded grey T-shirt. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Anyone that can assist in identifying the above deceased people, tracing their next-of-kin or may know of any person that has been missing for a while, is asked to contact D\/Cst.
