Six months after his older sister had a baby boy in 2018, Sir Eastern Cape Runner Up 2024, Raynaldo Bredenkamp wanted to build a legacy for his nephew, something that would last forever and always remind him of his routes. So Bredenkamp started the Zachary Bredenkamp Foundation, naming it after his six-month-old nephew at the time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe inspiration came the moment I bought him his very first teddy bear, which is still one of his very favourite things to have. I decided to name the foundation after him, as a legacy, and to teach him from a very young age that charity begins at home and that we should be able to share with those around us, and never to look down on people who have less than what we have,\u201d Raynaldo said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Little Zac, as he is affectionately known, hasn\u2019t been active in the foundation because of how young he is. His loving uncle has kept him out of the media for as long as possible, but since he is turning six years old next year, Raynaldo wants him to start having a more hands-on approach on the foundation. Leading by example from a young age. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cZac is raised by my sister, Charlene Bredenkamp, who is a single mother. With him being her only child we all adore him. Charlene is very involved in his life, teaching him and spending most of her time with him, grooming him to become the best version of himself. Whenever she has free time, she is actively involved in various charity drives too, planned by R Model Management & Agency as well as the Zachary Bredenkamp Foundation,\u201d Raynaldo added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Foundation is operational under Ray Toddlers & Tutoring Academy NPO 213-404, until now five-year-old Zachary is old enough to run it independently. The main focus of the foundation is to create a special and memorable festive season for many underprivileged children within Kariega, as well as neighbouring communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis year we are adding to our beneficiaries list the Rolemodels Foundation, which will be having a Christmas celebration for about 500 children in Malabar, Gqeberha on December, 9. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ashleigh Nyiki-du Plessis, Mrs Nelson Mandela Bay 2024 and I will be leading the Christmas project for the community of Kariega,\u201d the proud uncle said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

On December 8, the Foundation will host the Miss Inter- Community Kariega 2024 pageant at the Rosedale Recreation Hall to raise funds towards the Christmas Party. Raynaldo appealed to the public to support these initiatives and play an active role in community service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are in need of items such as chips, cool drinks, lollies, biscuits, chocolates, and any other items towards making Christmas party packs for our beneficiaries. While we will be adding a day full of fun and games, we would also like to give the children a proper meal and bless them with a stationery pack for the next academic year.<\/div>\n

His hopes and dreams for his little nephew are for Zac to follow in his footsteps, lead by example, and be committed to serving the community with hope, dignity, and pride, and equipping the next generation with the necessary skills to have a positive and more vibrant community where poverty will hopefully become something of the past.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As far as Zac\u2019s Christmas wish list is concerned , \u201cCars are his favourite toys, but he recently told me that he wants a Pok\u00e9mon toy for Christmas, so I think he is exploring all the toys,\u201d Raynaldo concluded. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
