If you\u2019re a local first responder or emergency worker on duty tomorrow, make sure to stop by Hyundai Uitenhage for a free surprise and a heartfelt thank you!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They will have a station set up outside from 10:00 to 14:00 where those in uniform \u2013 nurses, doctors, police officers, traffic officials, ambulance crew, firemen, security patrol agents \u2013 can collect a free coffee or tea, and a cupcake from the UD Express<\/span> team who will also be in attendance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

They can also pop a balloon to win a small prize on the day and add their names to a box to win a lucky draw hamper at the end of the month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The South African National Blood Service (SANBS) has also been invited to set up a station for anyone willing to donate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis is to give a little back to the community and the people in uniform who work so hard and get very little recognition for it,\u201d said Monique Gerber, sales executive at Hyundai Uitenhage. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt\u2019s completely free; they don\u2019t need to pay anything. Unless they would like to buy a car!,\u201d she quipped. \u201cSometimes even just a smile can make a difference. We can\u2019t give them the world, but we can at least offer them a cup of coffee, a cupcake, a quick chat, a little prize just to say \u2018Thank you, we see you, we appreciate you.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

First responders can join them for coffee, cupcakes and prizes on Friday, February 16, from 10:00 to 14:00 at Hyundai Uitenhage, 249 Caledon Street. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
