In a bid to tackle unemployment and social ills among the youth, Khazimla\/Shine NPO is on a mission to transform the socio-economic status quo by reviving and restoring dignity through training and programs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Founded by 17-year-old Khazimla Adam, a multi-award winning environmental activist and Eastern Cape South African Human Rights Commission Children\u2019s Rights Ambassador, the NPO aims to empower young entrepreneurs aged 18-35 with business ideas or informal businesses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThrough its collaboration with the National Youth Development Agency (NYDA), Khazimla\/Shine NPO provides training in key areas such as startup capital, marketing, feasibility studies, and business plan development. The program specifically targets youth with business ideas or informal businesses, offering vouchers to assist with startup costs and mentorship for support and growth,\u201d Adam explained. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

To date, the program has seen numerous success stories, with participants praising the training for its relevance and effectiveness in the ever-changing business environment. Ongoing support and resources are available to participants after completing the training, including mentorship and guidance from NYDA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Khazimla\/Shine NPO ensures the training remains relevant by collaborating with analytical leaders and organisations, making relevant examples of how certain topics can be applied to business strategies. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We sent out the programme posters on the community WhatsApp groups and statuses, as that is the most efficient way of reaching people. There is a great amount of unemployment among the youth of South Africa which, in itself, causes a lot of other social ills. Youth is the future and my dream is to empower them towards realising their businesses that can transform our loxion (township) economy against poverty.<\/div>\n

The community and local businesses can support Khazimla\/Shine NPO\u2019s efforts by buying from local businesses, ensuring the businesses are supported by their communities and will eventually grow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
