He began acting in 2015 and started participating in competitions. One of his earliest highlights was competing in a <span>KykNet<\/span> drama competition held in Cape Town. Professionally, he began acting in 2021 when he got his debut role as Avukile Makwethu on the popular <span>KykNet<\/span> show, <span>Arendsvlei<\/span>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Speaking to <em>UD Express<\/em>, Ngabom said that what inspired him to pursue a role in <em>Kelders van Geheime<\/em> is the fact that he has been a fan of the show since its inception. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI was drawn to the show\u2019s exceptional quality, stellar cast, and captivating storyline. I\u2019ve always wanted to share the screen with the best in the industry, such as Sandra Prinsloo. Joining the show is a dream come true,\u201d Ngabom said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Growing up in Despatch, Ngabom said Afrikaans was not foreign to him. He attended Afrikaans-speaking schools, from Despatch Primary School and later, Ho\u00ebrskool Despatch. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAlthough I spoke isiXhosa at home, I never studied it in school. The transition has been smooth, thanks to my background in Afrikaans.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ngabom mentioned one of the behind-the-scene moments that stayed with him. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div contenteditable=\"false\" data-embed24=\"Blockquote\" data-pos=\"middle\" id=\"embed_1d474985\">\n<div class=\"text\">One memorable moment was when the director, Nina Swart, cut the scene, came to hug me, and shed a tear after an intense scene. From that day on, she gave me the nickname \u2018Head Boy\u2019 and often praises my work, making me feel noticed and valued.<\/div>\n<div class=\"citation\">Ngabom<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Not only that, but he has formed a strong relationship with his cast members, Jurgen McEwan, who plays Stil Piet\/Mkhuseli on the show, and Aphiwe Sithole, who plays Athandwa, as they help him practise his lines regularly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ngabom said he hopes that Unathi\u2019s story resonates with young people who have had to take on parental responsibilities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cUnathi\u2019s character shows that even in the face of adversity, one can mature and make positive choices. I\u2019m proud to represent Despatch, Gqeberha, and the Eastern Cape, and I hope my role makes them proud too.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ngabom said that as an actor, it is important to study the craft and get a reputable agent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis foundation will help you navigate the industry and increase your chances of success. But most importantly, always believe in yourself and your gift.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He added, \u201cTrust in your abilities, stay focused, and never give up on your dreams. To all the young people from Despatch and the Eastern Cape, I say: \u2018This babe is going somewhere!\u2019 \u2013 and so can you!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Catch the gripping and dramatic show,
