JEFFREYS BAY<\/strong> – The funeral service for beloved journalist and columnist Veronica Fourie (65) will take place on Sunday, 5 January 2026 at the NG Gemeente in Jeffreys Bay at 14:00.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fourie, who passed away on 22 December<\/a> while being transported to hospital, was known for her weekly column “Veronica Vertel” in the Kouga Express.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The veteran journalist faced her ovarian cancer diagnosis with characteristic grace and her signature red lipstick, continuing to write until her final days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She is survived by her daughter Erika Ferreira, son-in-law Dawson, grandchildren Yula and Heston Jr, and son Dr Ruhan Fourie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
