The Uitenhage Child and Family Welfare Society honoured an elderly woman during their 67 Minute for Mandela Day celebration.
In the spirit of Ubuntu, which is to share and care, the staff of the Uitenhage Child and Family Welfare Society, together with local residents, decided to paint the house of a well-known Rosedale resident, Ellen Banttom.
Banttom was also surprised with beautiful bedding and could not express her gratitude enough for the act of generosity.
The Uitenhage Child and Family Welfare Society thanked BUCO Hardware-Buildware Kariega for sponsoring the paint and necessary equipment to make this event possible.
