The police clamped down on a Bulgarian citizen (43) for fraud and the illegal possession of ammunition at his home in Brackenfell in the early hours of this morning (Friday).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAt around 01:45 members of the police, Hawks and the Department of Home Affairs conducted a joint search operation at the house,\u201d said a police spokesperson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The search followed an investigation into the suspect\u2019s alleged organised crime activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to police, the search yielded card skimming devices, a cellular telephone jamming device, cloned bank cards, several passports and identity documents, cash, homemade stamps from known companies, a magazine and 9mm rounds as well as R5 rounds. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Police say the circumstances surrounding the matter are still under investigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The suspect was arrested on charges of fraud and the illegal possession of ammunition, and he is due to make a court appearance in Bellville on Monday 28 November 2016.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
