Housebreaking suspects who are possibly linked to other cases, were nabbed in Bellville today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to Warrant Officer Henri\u00ebtta van Niekerk, spokesperson of the Bellville police, an attempted housebreaking happened on Wednesday 17 May in Loevenstein where a white Huyndai H1 was used.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOn Friday, 19 May, this vehicle was again spotted in Stellenberg. District Basset armed response followed the suspicious vehicle and alerted police.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The vehicle was pulled over and searched. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cInside the vehicle they found a crowbar and socks that they believe the suspects put over their hands to hide fingerprints whenever the break into houses,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Capt Tobie Engelbrecht and Warrant Officer JP Smit arrested four suspects, aged 27, 26, 34 and 28, from Khayelitsha and Nyanga.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to Van Niekerk the vehicle is registered in a company\u2019s name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
