While patrolling in Bishop Lavis on Tuesday night police
\narrested three men for illegal possession of unlicensed\/prohibited firearms and
\nlive ammunition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Police spokesperson Constable Samantha Adonis says that the
\narrest happened at about 20:30 in the gang violence\/threats
\narea. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhile the police were patrolling in Keurberg road they saw
\na group of suspects standing in front of a house that was under attack on
\nFriday.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhen the group spotted the police vehicles they started
\nrunning but the members gave chase on foot.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She says police officers confiscated an Uzzi assault rifle
\nwith 40 live ammunition rounds, a z88 9mm with 17 rounds of ammunition and a
\nNorinco Star 9mm pistol and eight 9mm rounds in the men\u2019s possession. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The three males will appear in the Bishop Lavis Magistrates
