Police arrested a 35-year-old woman
\nin possession of 78 bullets containing cocaine,
\non Wednesday afternoon (27 September) at Cape Town International Airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Western
\nCape police spokesperson, Captain FC van Wyk, says police members working at Cape Town International
\nAirport were busy with stop and search duties on
\nthe International Arrivals side when they received information of a possible
\ndrug courier about to land on a flight from Luanda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhen the flight landed the
\npassengers were processed through immigration counters and the suspected
\npassenger was spotted when she fetched her baggage from the conveyor belt.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Van Wyk says the woman was detained
\nand admitted to a
\nmedical facility where the contraband was collected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe exact value of the drugs is yet
\nto be established but it is estimated at a significant amount.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He says once charged the woman will
\nappear in the Bellville Magistrates\u2019 Court on charges of dealing in drugs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOnce again the endeavours of the police to tackle
\nthe lucrative illegal drug trade in the Western Cape and to break the back of
