Two people died and four were shot on Thursday morning (26 October), after yet another shooting incident in Scottsdene. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to sources in the community, today\u2019s blood shedding was in retaliation of this past weekend\u2019s so-called hit on certain gang members. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Messages on social media warned residents from outside of the \u201cThe Zoo\u201d to not go into the area. Parents are scared for their children who have to walk to school while it\u2019s raining bullets, and they cant do anything about. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
People on social media and Whatsapp groups have started to pray for the families of the men who were killed today \u2013 and are praying for this ongoing war to end.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the neighbourhood watch, all schools in the area were advised to dismiss early due to the unrest in the area. \u201cWe could hear the shots firing from Cavalleria Primary and police were patrolling.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Minister of community safety, Dan Plato visited the area last night to help address the problem of crime and gangsterism. councillor Grant Twigg also attended the meeting. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said people need to stand up for their neighbourhood and need to take it back. \u201cWe can never allow crime and death become the norm, everyday life.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
