Local Scottsville church the
\nYeshua Covenant has been running their youth safety awareness programme in July
\nand December over the last five years , and this year was no different.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The church welcomes youngsters
\nfrom all races and religions and the programme runs over five days during the
\nschool holidays and the festive season. The programme was facilitated at the FF
\nErasmus Recreation and Parks Community Hall in Scottsville from Monday 11 to
\nFriday 15 December from 09:00 until 16:00 daily.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The events included various
\nactivities such as sports, games, music, group discussions on values such as
\nrespect for elders and getting involved in your community through church,
\nschool community projects, community-based organisations, and so forth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The purpose of the project is to
\nkeep the youth and children occupied during the holidays and educate them on
\nvarious topics, from safety awareness to moral values \u2013 that can make a
\nmeaningful contribution to their lives and help create safer and better
\ncommunities in Cape Town. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\nchallenged all local businesses to support these community development
\ninitiatives and help realise the dream of a peaceful society, as government
\nalone cannot achieve such ambitious dream.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
