<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two men
\n(aged 37 and 40 years) died and three others were critically injured following
\na shooting incident at the Delft South taxi rank on Thursday 19 April.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

According
\nto Delft police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Brian Daniels, the incident took
\nplace at approximately 20:25.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cUpon arrival,
\npolice were informed that four unknown males had approached [the victims] and
\nstarted shooting.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cA witness
\ndescribed how passengers in the taxi were about to leave on their long-distance
\njourney,\u201d says Daniels.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Passengers
\napparently took cover under their seats.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The injured
\nmen, aged between 23 and 37, were transported by private transport to a nearby
\nmedical facility.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Daniels
\nsays police confiscated 18 spent cartridges from an R5 assault rifle, as well
\nas 35 9mm spent cartridges on the scene.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe motive
\nfor the attack is unknown at this stage and no arrests have been made. Police
\nopened three counts of murder and three counts of attempted murder for
\ninvestigation,\u201d says Daniels.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n
