Two men have been arrested for the murder of a 51-year-old
\nGoodwood woman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Cook Street resident\u2019s body was found in a store room in
\nher home on Tuesday 29 May around 21:30.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAccording to the person who approached police to report the
\nvictim as missing, she was last seen during the early hours of Monday 28 May. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe deceased\u2019s grey Hyundai Elantra and a hard drive from
\nthe CCTV was missing from the scene. The Hyundai was circulated as possibly
\nstolen,\u201d explains Captain Frederick van Wyk, a provincial police spokesperson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He says members of the K9 unit spotted the stolen vehicle
\nand a VW Jetta driving in Elsies River around 23:30.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe members followed the two suspicious vehicles until both
\nstopped and the driver of the Jetta approached the Hyundai. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe two drivers aged 30 and 32 were arrested and the stolen
\nhard drive was recovered.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He adds that a post-mortem will be conducted to determine
\nthe cause of death.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Both suspects will appear in the Goodwood Magistrate\u2019s Court
\nsoon on a charge of murder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
